Towing using the TowRescue

Why is the TowRescue suitable for towing?
Heavy objects are normally towed in unfavourable weather conditions.
This often leads to dangerous situations for both the boat and crew, as the boat is no longer (properly) under control and too much power is used unnoticed.

Dangers of towing with a light boat and without TowRescue®

When using a light work boat powered by an outboard motor, during towing operations the boat is often pulled off course, it is unstable making it difficult to keep one's grip. This is because the attachment point of the tow rope is behind (at the triangle) or in front of (when a tow pole is used) the point of rotation of the boat. This results in the boat understeering or oversteering. The boat becomes dangerously unstable and 'digs in'.

More control and safety with the TowRescue®

The TowRescue is the ideal solution for these problems. It provides the optimum ratio of pulling power to motor power. The minimum motor power can be used, the boat remains stable and does not dig in. Moreover, the TowRescue serves as a protective bar for the vulnerable motor cowl. It is also possible to stand on the TowRescue when on the open sea to, for instance, inspect the propeller or remove debris from around it. In short, the TowRescue increases the pulling power due to better boat control and as such improves the safety of the towing boat and her crew.

Towing using the TowRescue®

With the TowRescue, smaller motors are able to tow more and tow better. The direction travelled is determined by the tow boat instead of by the towed object.
